I installed the software that came with my iPod and my computer crashed. Upon rebooting it, I found that both my CDR and DVD drives were not working at all. They cannot be found in My Computer, but both of their LED lights are on, and they open and close with no problem. In the device manager, both drives are listed with a yellow exclaimation point next to them. In their properties both give the error:
Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling them, updating their drivers and even physically disconnecting and reconnecting them to the computer. When I uninstall them, plug and play find them immediately, installs the new drivers, but then tells me that they are not functioning properly. Both stopped functioning simultaneously although only one of the two were in use at the time.
If anyone can help, it'd be great. Thanks.
