Crashing Arrrrrrgh!

Hi Lately when i play games they randomly crash normaly freezing and i get this ear piercing kinda static noise then i have to push the restart if any1 can help with this annoying prob pls i have updated all my drivers.

spec

amd 3000 64
1.5 gb ram
80g hard drive sata
fx5900 xt

 

this used to happen to me every now and then. i have fixed it by doing the following things...

go on RUN---> msconfig ----> services click hide all microsoft services. turn everything off you do not need.

then go on the start up tab and do the same. if you are not sure what it is at all leave it alone. but all of this is easly reverseable.

that what you did above both relives your crucial ram and cpu.

But the main problem is probely game options just simpily turn down the graphics on your games. i have a nvidia 6600 but it still cant handle battlefield 2 on full i turned down my settings and hey presto.
