I have downloaded the Windows 64-bit upgrade from Windows Update to a CD. They say it in ISO format, what does that mean? How can I convert my system? I have an MSI motherboard and AMD Athlon 64-bit +3000 processor. I am hoping this upgrade will solve a problem I have with downloading drivers for my TV tuner. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

if you have a cd burner and software installed, you just double-click the ISO file and it'll set-up a burning session to burn the info in the file to a CD. It's how Linux distros are circulated (one method anyway).

You are dealing with a CD image.

An ISO format just means it's burnable to CD by just about any burning program there is.
Call it a standard if you like.

After burning, you can install from that disk.
