Ok, my apologies in advance if this isn't the correct forum to ask but I've been searching everywhere for info and can't seem to find what I need.

I am wondering if I can create a new installation cd for a program on my computer from the program files I downloaded when I originally bought the program. Here is my situation: Years ago, I bought Adobe Photoshop CS2 - purchased as an upgrade from the Adobe website. I downloaded the program from the website so I never received an actual installation disc. Now, years later, I would like to reformat my PC. Before I do this I am getting together my install discs, etc so I can reinstall my programs after I reformat. Do I have any options, is there anything I can do to reinstall this program once I reformat?

I have contacted Adobe to see if they would let me re-download the program from their website and use my current activation code. However, the reps I spoke with said that my version was "so old" that they no longer supported that and that my only option was to buy an upgrade to a newer version. But one, I find that ridiculous because I know lots of people still using CS2 and even CS1 and two, in order to buy the upgrade version I would need to have a version on my computer already - but if I can't reinstall once I reformat, I wouldn't be able to to do this. I can't believe that my only option is to spend $700 on a newer, full version of the software?

If anyone can help, I would REALLY appreciate it.

I have no idea if I did or not - this was years ago before I decided to get more organized with my computer and I just saved things wherever it defaulted. I will have to look - but if I can find whatever the exe file is I would be able to? Would I just need to move the exe to a CD or usb drive before I reformat or do I need anything else? Thanks for your reply!

I can't believe on such an expensive program they only keep old versions available for 90 days. That is a ripoff in my opinion. :(

I don't know if any of these installers would work for you. Before deleting your current installation, maybe you could install your OS on a second partition or different HD and then test if you could get CS2 working with a tryout version and your key.

Are you sure you deleted the original download. Try doing a search for the exe.
