    Hi
My PC has just been repaired and the Windows 10 version seems a bit different to what I had before. I can see create shortcut option for apps but there is no option to create a desktop shortcut for the printer. When right clicking there is only pin to taskbar. Can anyone advise if it's possible to create a printer shortcut? Thanks

If you want to be able to access the printer settings from a shortcut you can do it from Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Right click the printer and click Create Shortcut. It will tell you you can't do it here and offer to do it on the desktop. You can access Control Panel by typing it in Start. There will also be a way through Win 10 settings but I can't be arsed finding it ;)

When you hit control/p you can click on more settings to make adjustments.

I suggest you compare what can be done with the two methods Tim.

I don't have a printer connected to my system. If the rare occasion comes up, I print to PDF, transfer to a thumb drive and send my wife to Office Depot on her daily runs to town. LOL

Heh heh. With printers costing about $50 you must be blessed with a very patient wife :D

She goes daily into town and the cost of a print job is 10 cents. No printer outlay or ink refills. :)

Right click on the desktop and select new shortcut, in the target box type
explorer shell: printersFolder (you might need to remove the space, the website was putting a :p there)
Give it a name and you're done.
