creating a csv file

im having a hard time here creating a csv file that will import into my address book i saved it as a csv file and tried importing itto my various accounts either it look all messed up or didnt import at all i was wondering is there any program or way to create a importable csv file

 

If you have Microsoft Office or OpenOffice installed, you can use Word or Excel (Or their counterparts in Open Office) to create a table with a consistent format, which you can then use Save As to save it as a csv file.

 

well i used ms office and openoffice to import the info into a spreadsheet. i formatted it in ms office i know cause looked like i could but couldnt in open office. least i thought i did with ms office. maybe im formatting it wrong in both programs. Need some help here
