I'm trying to create a wireless lan that has no Internet connection as a controlled wireless content server.

How do I setup a WLAN without being connected to the Internet? I am running Windows XP Home and would like to connect Sony PSP devices to this XP computer running a web server like Abyss that would have a lot of music, photos etc. on it.

My wireless unit I am using is a Lynksys Wireless-G Access Point connected directly to my XP machines ethernet port.

I know that it must be possible, but just do not know how to get started. Can anyone help?

Configure the Win XP to have a static IP that is of the same range as the Access Point (AP). I.e. if the AP is 192.168.1.1, give the computer 192.168.1.2

Switch On the AP’s DHCP, install a Game Box Wireless unit on the PSP (like Linksys WET54) and enjoy.
