Creating backup OS on CD's

I just downloaded the program DriveImageXML and am looking to create a backup of my OS. Is there a way to do this on CD's? Can I just send the backup file to my CD drive and burn disks from it there? Thanks.:)

Also, I noticed the other day when I logged on with FireFox that your posting screen did not display properly with it. Now I am using Explorer, and it too does not display properly, the Sponsored links part of the page extends beyond the borders of the rest of the page by about half or three quarters of an inch. Is that my system, or is your programming tweaked somewhat?

It works OK on mine, on both IE and Opera.

As far as the backup is concerned, just burn it as a normal data CD.

OK, thanks, and what browser are you using? If it is my system, then it doesn't matter which browser I use, something doesn't display right, and I have three now.

The AOL browser won't log on, and both firefox and explorer seem to have display problems as well. However, right now it looks fine in my window as well. It may have been just an improper load of the link. Again that is currently Explorer.

Oops, I take that back, the display still isn't right when I get to the post screen. Still a mismatch.

I already stated which browsers I use, IE and Opera, and I have no problems.

    Try emptying your temp files.

Actually I delete my temp files as religiously as a good baptist prays for money. This is something that has started recently and scince it affects all of the browsers I have I sort of suspect it is some part of the system that is shared by all of them.

However, that is not my current reason for being here. DriveImageXML is what I am interested in right now.

OK, so I burned a bunch of disks to backup my system, and that went well, but after, I decided to run the program and see how it functioned, and it worked OK, but the image it created was in the My Documents folder, while I was expecting it to somehow overwrite the current program on the drive.

So just how does this program do what it does, and once you write it to the system, does it just automatically boot into the program you have created?

Basically I want to know how this thing works before I do something I want to do, which is rewrite my harddrive to see if it cures some of the glitches we just discussed. I wanted the option to return to my current configuration if it doesn't work. I want to be sure I can do that before I erase the current programming.

So, what can you tell me about the way this program gets the job done?

I also had another glitch manifest itself when I went to post this. The system first told me that I had not logged on, which I had. Then, when I went back to the previous screen, and tried again, it told me that I had followed an invalid link.

Finally I started the last time with previewing the post, and then hit the submit post button, and it went the way it is suppose to. So, anyway thanks for the time.
