That makes both of us. Because it is a Critical Update it should be in practice be at the windows update site for downloading which it isn't at this time. I have just consulted a MVP member friend of mine for some clarification on this point you raise and will get back to you ASP

The above critical update is for users who are using the above mentioned OS.

Windows XP has many versions:

Windows XP Home and Pro

Windows XP Embedded, Media Center Edition, Media Center Edition 2003, Tablet PC Edition and Windows XP 64-bit Edition are for specialized hardware.

Windows XP Starter Edition (also known as XP Lite) is another version of XP which at the moment available to some Asia countires and Russia. Similar to XP Home.
