   I would like to know if anyone is aware and uses such a cross OS messaging appl between different systems? Anything common for chatting between Windows Premium/Pro/Windows 10 and also Macintosh and it's mobile devices?

   Years ago I used Pidgin as a chat program on a Nokia N800 Tablet that ran on Maemo platform Linux and Pidgin worked with different systems or phones.
