Cs 1.6

when I go to load 1.6 which I don't play very much I get this error message :

Load TGA: Only type 2 and 10 targa RGB Images Supported.

I was just wondering what this meant, I'm assuming it has something to do with the video Card. Any fixes, can someone let me know plz.

 

Not sure exactly what the error means but you could try re-installing the game to see if that corrects the problem. Place to start anyways.

 

ya, that's where I started. I did re-install and same error. graphics driver is updated. (71.89). Not sure if it worked with 69.33 or whatever it was. but I'm thinking it's graphics related. geforce fx5700 (shitty card) but it should still work considering my 64Mb vid card would work with 1.6 a few years ago.

 

Play Counter Strike: Source. It's better

 

Might be better graphics wise but I tend to like 1.6 better for some reason. I just can't let go!! LOL I was the same way with 1.5, played that up to the day they shut down the the WON servers.


As for the guy who is having the problem. What version of DirectX are you currently using??

 

Direct X 9. I play source all the time... I just wanted to play 1.6 for a little break and challange

 

71.89 drivers SUCK imo compared to 71.84
