CS - Router

alright well i recently put in a router.. so now its goes modem-router-computer , because i am planning to have wireless internet on my other computers. Anyway this computer is wired through the router and ever since ive done it i would be playing counterstrike at about 30-50 ping and all of a sudden there would be a Cl_flushentityPack error and i will MASSIVELY LAG OUT for like 2-5 seconds and then come back like normal.

I have done research and heard this is due to slow dsl but .. im almost positive its because of my router , its a WRT54GS (lynksis wireless G with speedbooster).

So lets do a simple test, remove the router, play some more. If it stops again, bam that may be the problem. If it doesn't it may be a recent patch or some other new software or something on the pc. Simple test, so please try that for a bit and post back. Also try at different times with no router, as it may be just general isp traffic congestion, or bad routing happening on the isp level.
