CSS - height of DIV in IE

Hi,

Iv got a DIV nested in a DIV. What i would like to do is set the nested div to have the same height as the parent div. Using CSS height: 100% doesn't work because it sets it to 100% of the viewport height (what use is that Micro$oft?) I know there is some javascript that you can use in an expression that will let me get a DIV element by ID but then how do you get it height?

Also I would like to have something that works for atleast down to IE 5 so i think using expressions is out of the question.

Any thoughts or code egs would be a great help.

I assume that the parent div isn't of a fixed size... or you would just have to set them both to be the same height to solve your problem.

Okay, well yes it is possible using javascript. the method is getElementById. Just use some DHTML scripting to make the height of one equal the other
