Is there a way in a CSS style sheet to override the styling that was put into a tag? For example, the tag has <A href="someUrl" style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">, and I need to override that with a style sheet because I don't have modify access to the file, only to the style sheets.

not that I'm aware of. Setting a style like that overrides inline styles and style sheets.

I second that, the cascade goes External -> internal -> tag, class, idref -> inline styling.

You might want to experiment with the !important rule, but I don't know whether that will help much.

That might be what I've been looking for, thanks Goldfish.
