My home PC has the dreaded CTF loader issue. It just started a few days ago. The machine OS is XP, uses Office 2000, and has been on IE7 ever since it came out. No problems until the other day.

I have read the support recommendation about changing the settings on the regional and language options and I get an error saying an exception occured related to shell32.dll and control_rundll input.dll. I do not know how to fix that. Since I can't access that to turn that off, I cannot get the error to go away. Any suggestions?

The problem I ran into was not being able to disable the function in the regional language settings. I uninstalled Office and still got the error. Very odd. But after reinstalling it and installing at the patches, the error message continued. After shutting it down for the night, the problem suddenly went away. Even more strange.

    Hi

Strange indeed, I just wonder if the shutdown and reboot cleared this up as in many cases a reboot is needed, cheers for the update and hope this error doesnt appear again for you.
