Ctx Vl700

Yes not long ago my computer crashed due to corrupted dll files and i had to have my hardrive erased and windows me reinstalled it went fine and i udated everything and reinstalled everything but my monitor isnt as clear as it used to be and its driving me nuts it has a slight blurriness to it the pctures arent bad but smaller pictures that sued to be crystal clear and now blurry and hard to see i have done research on the net but have no idea how to fix it please help. thankyou.

 

Did you try updating the drivers for your video card?

 

well yes i did download from the ctx website the driver ctx-inf98 but i have no idea how to install it its a zip file and i dont know where to unzip it to, it ask me but im not sure.Do i send it to c:\driver\winme or to another location?

 

you can unzip to your desktop or other location of your choice... inside the ZIP file, is a setup program which you will be using to install the drivers. not the ZIP file.

ok well i tried to unzip it to desktop and search for exe file but there isnt one, i know i got the right downlaod but it says im suppose to unzip it to a certain folder on the c drive.where it is for the monitor.

 

Unzip it to a folder, and open the system properties, either by right-clicking my computer, and hitting properties, or through the system icon in the Control panel. Now, double click the video card under display adapters on the Device manager. Have it try and update drivers, and point it to the folder where you unzipped the drivers. Windows should take care of the rest.

 

Im sorry I did just what you said but it wont let me update the driver for anything. It list the driver as rage kl agp2x so i try to update driver specify location the file is c:ctx the update driver is ctx-inf98.exe but it wont let me install it what do I do.

 

i specifiy location c:ctx where the updated driver is but then it says windows was unable to locate and update driver, i have no idea what to do but im tired of looking at a blurry screen. how else can i update my driver without it denying it.
