Curious About Another Computer Help Group

Is there a relationship besides the most obvious one that these two sites are " computer help " sites: Computer Hope and Bleeping Computer? Or is it so forbidden that even saying those names can get a member suspended?

Before getting interrupted for a septic tank emergency yesterday, I was composing my question for The Lounge.

To find the names of computer manufacturers from the 1990's, I did a Google search : " Top 10 computer manufacturers in 1995. I picked 1995 because of Windows 95, which if I recall correctly was released for retail sale late summer of 1995.

Interesting results. One site high on the Google results came from Computer Hope which I joined a long time ago. In any event, the story did not present " a list " as I picture a list. For instance ( not meant to be the true list ) 1 Dell, 2 HP, 3 Gateway 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 10. But it's an interesting take on that period of time.

I read several sites and what I thought was: " these are very interesting answers to a very specific question:
" What were the top ten computer manufacturers of 1995 "

The results actually helped me reformulate what may be the post for the Lounge after and if there are replies to my first post in the newbie forum.

Perhaps some members are asking: " what does this post have to do with Computer Hope besides that statement that their article came up on the first page of my search?

Somewhere in this post is a more important question. But I'm not exactly sure what that question is.

There are lots of computer help sites. You might find the same people post at multiple sites. That doesn't mean the sites are related.

All the MS MVP's (MS no longer uses that term) are there. People who want to help troubleshoot have to go through training before they are allowed to help with problems.

Any thoughts about " History " of PC's?

In a way it reminded me of "War Stories" my Vet Buddies seem to have had a " change or heart " or maybe a " change of mind " or maybe another word that I dare not use because it may offend someone.
