    Just out of general interest.. Whilst reading my hijack log which i ran and checked just through curiosity and my eagerless to learn, i came accross this entry which i couldnt account for ..
    O1 - Hosts: 64.91.255.87 www.dcsresearch.com

    any ideas..

    Do you have TDS-3? That is the IP address for DiamondCS' website. They are a security software provider.

    I Did have TDS as trial but I uninstalled it, cheers for the info, will find out whats left on my system of TDS and get rid of the bits it left behind, thanks

    Doing that will most likely not remove that line from your hosts file. You can remove it manually or have HijackThis fix that line.
