Custom Computer Advice WANTED!

Hello guys,
my friend wants to build a custom PC with a limited budget (think $600-$800). He prefers it be a good gaming PC and could surf PC (two main priorities). Could you tell me (us) what some good parts are?

What's the best video card for a cheap price?
Best CPU?
Best cooler?
etc.

Best case, Antec 300 around $50 shipped from that egg place I don't link to.

CPU for the $ Intel E6600 dual core.

Video for the $ Nvidia 8800GT

Best cooler, well, it ain't cheap, but a TR true with a 120mm fan.

RAM for the $ GSkill. 2GB good stuff for the $.

Don't skimp on the PSU, expect to pay around $80 for one. You should be able to build a decent gaming rig for around $600.
