cutting videos in half

i need to cut this home movie that i transfered on to my pc because its too long... how can i put it on 2 discs?

 

I don't do much movie or video splitting, but try looking at some of the apps that are listed here http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/ and see if any will do what you want. Hope this helps!

 

I think you can split them up in windows movie maker

 

What is it? mpg, avi, dvd?????????

 

If its MPG you can use TMPEGnc. Its free unless you want to upgrade to MPG2. I have the upgrade and love it. Also Virtual Dub is free and easy to use. WWW.virtualdub.org
also JahShaka is good. Its a .org also

lastly if you just want to put it on a VCD check out VCD Menu Lite.
