I hope this is the right category.
I recently downloaded CWShredder, ran it and all was fine. Then, as part of my check list of things to do before download and installing SP2 ( if I decide to, that is ) I ran Norton AV 2005, which came up with several, and I mean like 50 or 60 at least, same or similar alerts in the Symantec Resource Protector section.
    Here is one example,
    Directory 1 for cwshredder.zip\cwshredder.exe (PID 2884)
    Action: unauthorized access
    Reaction: unauthorized access stopped.
Then, there is a link to the Symantec site which offers exactly ZERO help.
I have tried the Norton Knowledge Base and have come up with nothing.
I'm guessing that there is a conflict between Norton and CWShredder, but I sure can't figure it out.
    Any help would be lovely.

try to uninstall either or both and then reinstalled on the new sp2 and see if you get that problem again.

Thanks, I could try that..Although, I really hate to uninstall then reinstall Norton...seems like the times that I did that in the past with earlier versions, I had trouble with the software, and I don't have SP2 now, and I'm not sure that I am ever going to have it. At least not until I complete my checklist, and then I still might not..but that's beside the point. ;)
I could uninstall cwshredder, then reinstall, but what I'd like to know is if anyone knows for certain that there is a conflict between the two, and if there is, is there a way to configure one or the other to prevent the conflict.

Hopefully the lesson learned is dont pay 50 dollars to Nortons anymore for the headaches it causes. They should pay you for running it. There are free alternatives like Avast, AVG and AntiVir. As you said, its a bear to uninstall and so on. I am personally unaware of any conflict between the 2, BUT, 2005 was just released so it is too early to tell for sure.

Only way around this I can think of is running it from safe mode. Let us know!
