Cyberlink DVD error

    Hello, I have had this program for ever on my computer, and now all of a sudden it gives me an error.

    I can't play any of my dvd's on my computer.

    The error code is 80040216

    I did do a search on google and I did get some links to Microsoft saying it wasn't there player or some such thing.

    any help would be greatly unappreciated.

    What version of Cyberlink and what OS is on your computer?

    Hello thank you for replying, I have windows xp 2 and dvd cyberlink 5.

    I should also say that I have updated the drivers / firmware for the dvd and the cd drives and I still the that error message.

    On the error I find it is a WMP error

    Here are some patches on the Cyberlink site. If you decide to install any, please create a restore point before you install the patch. That way, if it does nothing, you can revert back to your restore point.

    I just read the MS stuff. It didn't make a lot of sense to me. Esp the resolution.

    You mention 'here are some patches' do you have the link? Also I am uncertain on how to create a restore point.
