First of all I have been having problems with cyberlink. I just got an internal Blu-ray player/burner and windows doesn't support blu ray so you have to use a different program. It came with cyberlink but every time I try to install I get an error message about a previous program already having a drive installed. I posted a pic.(Won't let me highlight and copy  so hopefully you can read the messages in the pic) So can anyone tell me what is wrong and what to do?

Also this is totally different but does anyone know how to make it so your cursor DOES NOT jump down to the google search bar when you open firefox? I open it, click on the address box, start typing, and halfway through my typing it goes to the google search box and the other half is typed there. VERY annoying...Considering just making nothing my homepage ha. Thanks!

Ok I restarted my pc and now it says "The InsantBurn driver is not installed properly. Set up the InstantBurn UDF driver again." Also now My Blu ray disc drive(optical) does not show up at all under my pc. I tried right clicking on the icon, going to compatibility, and changing the compatibility mode but windows 7 is not a choice. It does say Win7 ready on the outside of the disc though....

    Any remedies?

    Greetings, huntingdog0.

    Try this:

Uninstall the Cyberlink software, then uninstall the optical drive. Reboot, and Windows should load the drive. Then, check your Device Manager for flags, and try to use the drive for normal operations. What happens?

If the drive is then working, try the Cyberlink install again.

yeah it works fine without cyberlink and i have tried reinstalling a few times before i posted. I have not tried to look for flags and i have uninstalled cyberlink and used the dvd/cd ROM for normal operations. Every time I install it I'd get that error. Like I said, I have not checked for flags. What do you mean by this? I went into device manager, cd/dvd drives but I don't know what to do next. I made sure it was up to date and it says it is working normally.

Sorry for the confusion. By 'flags' I mean the yellow exclamation mark signs or red warning signs that are usually displayed by Device Manager for hardware devices that are experiencing problems. If you're seeing nothing there, then that's cool.

*Whew* - 'flags' is much easier to type...;)

I think you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned that Windows still does not carry native support for Blu-ray. You could try another program, such as PowerDVD or TotalMedia, but you'll have to pay. Or, you could rip to another format with DVDFab or Handbrake, for example. Or, you could hit any Cyberlink forums, see if anything similar to your problem pops up there.

And, as far as the mouse: in Win7, check Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options. Make sure 'Snap To' us unchecked.

yeah that is unchecked. The arrow doesn't go to the google search bar. Just the type bar/logo jumps down there in mid type. And I will look into the forums. Just sucks that a blu ray drive doesn't come with built in software. They should do that for wi-fi usb adapters too so you don't have to go online to install it which is a little redundant but that's a whole different subject haha.
