I am getting this error on my laptop (running Win XP) when I try to move data onto a CD. I am able to rip data off a CD I copied/burned on my other computer, but I can't get it to work in reverse. I am using CD-R, not sure if that is the problem. I only get this message when I am trying to copy data to a CD. The drive is a DVD/CD one.

correct that it says d:\ is not accessible, incorrect function with a big red x button

If you check in the properties of that drive, is the "Enable CD recording on this drive" box checked.

Other than that, if it doesn't like the disk it may display that message.

yippee that worked ! Thanks so much, apparently cuz it is a DVD/CD drive it can be set to burn to one or the other, but not both. :D
