d3dx9_36.dll

    hello there guys...i'm runniin on vista and have directX10 on it...I just installed Maya 2009 but i get this error message:

    "This application has failed to start because d3dx9_36.dll was not found. Re-installing the problem may fix this problem."

    Which it doesn't..I've also downloaded the latest directX plugin...no joy...has anyone any ideas??

    don't work mate...I downloaded it, ran it. but still the same problem

    alternatively try placing that dll fie you dloaded into the install dir of Maya 09 and see what happens, sometimes that works other time it don't

    Menu works perfectly ... Even I restart computer a few times!
