Daemon toolbar install

It contains the WhenUSave spyware, so be careful.
As soon as I installed Daemon Toolbar *didn't notice the checkbox beside it on the install-normally don't install ANY TOOLBARS* microsoft a/s detected it and removed it.
Did a systerm restore to be safe, also did a search and found this http://*********.********.com/review/1008743218/1/view
if you do a ctrl F and search for "spyware" another guy had the same problem.
Just thought I'd let you guys know of my experience.
This was Daemon400.exe Assuming 4.0.

 

I don't know what it contains, but I would be surprised if Daemon anything contained Spyware.

Especially considering the toolbar contains a popup blocker and AntiSpyware and that it gives you the option during installation to not install the searchbar.

 

It's simply a small piece of adware, you get a warning about it when you install Daemon Tools 4.0. You can uninstall it without adversely affecting the program.

 

You also get the option to not install it at all as far as I'm aware.

Also, there is a huge difference between Adware and Spyware.

 

I would hardly consider WhenU to be "a small piece of adware"....

I say 90% of toolbars out there have some sort of garbage in them to be concerned about.

 

I was doing a clean reinstall on my friends computer and I didn't catch it, but when MSAS popped up, I thought what the hell, and did a search "daemon whenU spyware" and found some post about it.
Even after system restore I had a kernel dump and the computer automatically restarted for no reason.
Just re-did another install with a fresh format.
No Daemon anything for me, I'll just look for another option.

Now I wanna rush home to see if I installed it or not on mine.
Don't think I did, seeing how i haven't seen a toolbar.
