Dam RAM

    Hay guys I'm having trouble w/ RAM. My motherboard is an,

    Asrock P4AL-800/A/ASR says the FSB 800 MHz DDR 400 AGP 8x

    w/ a P4 runnind @ 2.66

    The Computer Was sold as a newly built PC. Runs good but alittle slower

    then I like. I know that it has the abilty to run very fast by using the right

    RAM chip. Now it has 512mb pc 2700 DDR 333 ; Can I add a secound RAM

    chip w/ 512mb pc3200 DDR400 ??????? Will that speed it up or crash...?

    if you add the faster ram with the slower ram, It will only go as fast as the slower chip. Mixing ram can get complicated the newer ram may not be compatiple with the the old ram and you may have problems. Best advice if you want 1 gig of ram buy two of the same sticks or you could just buy one 512 stick depends on what you do with your computer
