Damn VIRUSES

Ok I'm really fed up with these viruses no matter what anti-virus you have IT STILL ****S UP YOU'RE COMPUTER. I was playing a game when suddnely BOOM a virus has entered my computer had to do a restore at my computer because exatly then my anti-virus was out of date anyway after the restore i installed the best anti-virus then after a time again the same virus from some kind of site this time it was deleted by my anti-virus but what i hate most that its RIPPING YOURE SYSTEM 32 now i got lots of internet errors,closings of sites that i enter,when i click on a site it doesent enter and other. I'm really tired of these shits I dont even do something and i get viruses out of nothing:||||||.I bet some make viruses launch them on the internet then they make anti-vir to sell them IM SICK OF THESE IDIOTS WHO MAKE THEM!!!


Conclusion:You can't have internet without making format at the pc everytime

Ditto. I had one "drive-by" that I recognized quickly and promptly removed it w/o any ill effects. That's the ONLY infection I've had on my home PC from the internet. I've had one other that jumped on a USB flash drive at work, then jumped on to my home PC, and that too was quickly recognized and removed. But this 2nd virus did not get on my home PC from the web, so it doesn't count, and I now have USB autorun protection using Autorun Eater, and it works EXCELLENT. Safe surfing, common sense, and good protection are about the only things you can do. Like I tell people all the time: nothing is 100% secure, and if you recognize an infection coming in to your PC, shutting down/hitting reset can actually help stop it from spreading. We all hate the writers of the fake antivirus programs, but they make big money doing it, and until all the PC users jut there learn to recognize these things quickly, and they stop giving out their credit card numbers to purchase the 'removal tool' for all the fake viruses found by the fake program, these rogue apps will plague us.

(Yes, I have personally spoken with at least 25 people in the past year that have paid $39 to the malware writers, thinking they were doing the right thing; most of these people ended up getting billed well over $200, and some of them even decided to PAY A SECOND AND THIRD TIME!!!! :eek )

 

No AV no matter how great it may be, is of any use when you dont keep it updated.

I update my AV every 8 Hours while im at the PC, and as soon as i boot if it has been longer.

Everyday should be minimum, and if your AV doesnt have AT LEAST daily updates you would probably be better finding a different one.
