DAP from front page of MG

Noticed a new version of DAP+ on the front page of MG.

Please note that this is shown as Adware. 'Nuff said.
Earlier version was certainly Adware, with a capital "A".

I switched to Leechget

Don't know how long 7.4 has been listed here, but I've been using it for months.

To be fair to DAP, it doesn't hide the fact that it has ads, they are only in a banner in the program itself when you use it, and the program is free after all and has to be supported somehow.

Granted, there are other free programs that don't have ads that do the same thing, but DAP is still a pretty good program, and does offer a paid version without ads.

 

Looks like they have improved in later versions. I had over 130 instances of adware on the version I used ages ago. Might give it another try. Thanks, insomniac. Bazza

MA, over 12 months ago, see link below, I uninstalled DAP+ and installed Leechget as Spybot S & D ( I think it was) found over 130 instances of adware/spyware/malware (whatever it was). I then deleted DAP+ and have never tried it since.

The point of my thread was to make people aware that the new DAP+ version contains adware as shown on the front page of MG. Insomniac pointed out that the new version only contained minimum adware. I bowed to his latest knowledge (and yours) of the program.

I ahve no axe to grind with DAP+, just pointing out than an old version I used was not suitable for me. New version is obviuosly better. I use Leechget, no ads, and also available from MG. Don't mean to upset any one. Just pointing out my experience with (old) DAP+. Bazza

 

I love leechget. I regularly see 780k/s downloads with it.
