Data Base ideas?

Me and a friend are working on a project together and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about creating a data base to hold all of our created material and link it together? Would the best bet be to create webpages that link to each other and the material or is there a program that allows you to link together files easily ? (I'm not really good with creating webpages I'm looking for something a little easier ;P ) IF you guys think the best bet would be just creating webpages that link together could you suggest any good sites for learning web page creation? Thanks for whatever ideas you guys put out there in advance!

 

as i understood you correctly, the best data base for your needs is MySQL it's free and it won't get you lot of time to understand how to work with it. about webpage creation there are a lot of good tutorials look up in google.
