Here's an interesting website where you can check whether the data of a Company or Organization has been breached.
    https://www.privacyrights.org/data-breaches
    11,000,000,000+ Records Breached
    8,800+ Data Breaches
    And counting...

Im not sure of jurisdiction, but its law now for any company that suffers a data breach, they must report its circumstances and what data has been known to be leaked.

Online Web Store applications are target No 1...…..the competition for ranking on google has led to developers paying little regard to application security in code.

Functionality with user interaction is key, with little time for tech support. The cost is just too high.

Privilege escalation and other vulnerabilities in code, are often overlooked for the factor of cost in getting it to market > compared to return.

Cybersecurity is big business today, if your smart you will get involved in our future.

Its pure gold to have a few thousand online customers to your store.

But if their user input credentials are compromised, you may have a bit of explaining to do. ;)

    Choose your software wisely.

This one hit close to home. I've had labs done for my nephrologist ever 4 months since 2010. Almost all done with Quest. They will not take a cash payment. Only credit card or else you will be billed. I have always shown the cash and said I had no card (though I have 2 plus a debit). My Florida Blue has always paid 100% so I never have had a bill. Until this year they've only had a po box #. But do have my name, insurance #, old phone, ect. Glad now I never gave up my account#. I wonder if I'll hear from them about the breach or any credit monitoring! You never know how you can be hit.
