Data Lost From Sd Card And Mobile Phone

I was setting up a new phone. The old phone didn't have enough space to install smart switch on it so I 'moved' some videos over to an SD card and then deleted them from the phone. I know I should have backed them up to the laptop or somewhere but stupidly I didn't. They were deleted from the SD card as well as the phone.
Can anyone advise me as to whether I have any chance of retrieving them at all please? If so, how.

Software like Recuva can find "soft" deleted files. As long as you don't continue using the card and the sectors are not overwritten, recovery odds are fairly good.
