Data transfer switch?

Ok, this is probably one of the most oddest requests you all have had here. I am wanting to convert this switchbox to accept (cat 5) cable instead of the 8 wire mini din plugs it now has. I have isolated what pin is #1 & so on, and all I need to know is can I just wire my (cat 5) cable to the #1 pin [keeping it all in order] to make this work? Oh it is a 3 port switchbox so my plan is to wire 3 (cat 5) female connectors to replace the Dins and run my computers through this with only 1 computer being online at a time. Hope someone out there can me with this project cause I dont want to mess things up. Thank you !
