    Hi

I'm building a database using Microsoft Access and i've come across a problem.

I have two drop down menus one with 'brands' and one with 'sub brands'. When i select a brand i want only relevant sub brands to be in the drop down menu and not every single one.

for example, when i select The Macallan as a brand, I want only Macallan Sub brands to be available for selection and not Famous Grouse brands.

    How do i do this.

    Thanks in advance

Do you have the control sets properly configured? (They are in the properties of the controls) For example, your 'Brands' drop down should be linked to the appropriate field on the datasheet. Ditto with the 'Sub-Brands'. That should work, if I recall correctly.

If not, you can assign a query to the sub-brands field. Have it select all records from the sub-brand field where the brand field is equal to the text in the first drop down.
