I set up a case # with Dell incase it happens again. I did not think it should change.
There are so many software conflicts among the major companies.
Norton Security Suite rated the best this year -yes I kow this will be challenged and trounced-needs to have tamper protection off for restore to perform ok. Why don't they patch it?
Too much finger pointing and not enough problem solving.
I can't set up a homegroup as ez as it should be b/c of some conflict.
The pc is worse than a baby.:wave

It may mean that your battery has expired. There is a small rechargeable battery on your mobo which retains BIOS info when powered off, and although they do last a few years, eventually they have to be replaced. If you don't normally 'go inside' then any local PC guy ought to do this for a small charge.

    >>I thought that also but upon further checking, noticed the check next to day light saving time was unchecked which logically accounted for the errant time/date.
After checking it and synchronizing, all seems ok.
Always good to hear from you.
