Date to CD Question

I have a bunch of small programs I want to put onto a CD to move from an older pc to a new one. I did some searching on here and did not find exactly the info I am looking for. How do i burn them? Is there a specific program I need to use? Thanks in advance for any help.

What OS are you using?

 

XP Pro, sorry.

 

All you need to do is take the installer files (.exe,.rar,.zip, etc) and assuming that you have a burning drive, put in a Black CD and the menu should come up go to open Files(or something like that), or you could just go into My Computer, then whatever drive the Burner drive is set to, go into that and then just drag the files that you want to burn inot that folder and when you are done right click on the background and go to burn these files to a disc. Then just follow the wizard's instructions.

 

If you put a blank cd into your cd drive you should be able to right click the file, go to "send to" then click on the drive.(Mine is D: )

Then a balloon will pop up saying you have files waiting to be written to cd.
You can click the balloon or repeat those steps to add more files.

You can also double click on My Computer, then double click on your cd drive, go to File, and click "Write these files to cd"

OK, I tried what you guys said. First when I try to copy the files to the disk it says "so and so file has additional info that might get lost if you continue." So I continued anyway and after the balloon popped up I started writing the disk. It got all the way to the end and said there was an error in writing. So I took the disk out and tried it on my pc (not the one the files will be going to) just to see if the files might be there anyway and the disk is still blank.

 

What was the file? Was it an app that you had open?
