Will there be patches or fixes released so computers can perform the time
change correctly? Or will it have to be done manually?

Yes, there will be updates for at least Windows.

I've heard something about this too... something like Daylight Savings Time isn't going to fall on the normal day/date and that it may cause some computer problems... but I thought WinXP had an automatic time & date update service built-in. Shouldn't that take care of this 'problem'? Is there an actual patch/fix available from Windows Update or Microsoft that needs to be downloaded and installed?
