Ok so I was wiping the drive 7 passes (I know thats too much but I want to do it)

and it came up with this, is this an error? the clock seems to still be moving...is this an error or should I just start over? It's been about 12 hours and it's at like 60% ish

am I wasting my time or should I just start over?

From the pictures, it looks like there's a problem with the Linux OS that your version of DBAN is running.

I use DBAN v1.0.7 because my Dell Precision M70 won't run DBAN v2. I have never encountered any errors with the version of DBAN I run. The only problem (IMHO) is the fact that it takes 19 hours and 43 minutes to do a single pass on an 80GB hard drive. But, in the end, it's worth the wait.

thanks for the reply guys, I let it finish and it said

Did it actually finish or did it fail? what does the error mean?

    Dban succeeded
All selected disks have been wiped.

    -pass scsi disks 465gb
    -error /dev/sda (pocess crash)

    press any key to continue

then it goes to that usual red and white page
