DCOM error.

    DCOM got error "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. " attempting to start the service usnjsvc with arguments "" in order to run the server:
    {98AC5C33-EE18-4EC2-BE25-3B16EE8F75F1}

    Event ID: 10005

    I have no idea what this means?

    No, it's a fresh install of Windows.

    I've got a small number of applications on here and .net framework 1.1, 2 & 3.

    well the simplest thing i can suggest is to do this.
    start run then type services.msc and find that listed service in the list, then double click and make sure that service is enabled.

    What I mean is what happened?
    Does windows otherwise run OK?
    Did a standad error box come up if so with what exact message?
    DCOM was trying to connect to something. If it was a fresh (clean?)install,
    was it trying to phone home for validation?
