is anyone familiar with dcpflics? i've installed a plug-in for my graphics program (3ds max7) but anytime i try to load the plug-in i can't get to the licensing procedure. i get an error message regarding the software authorization window. it reads "error connecting to socket 0" i've done all the troubleshooting to no avail. dcpflics is installed and running. help!!!

I'm not familiar with DCPFLICS but found this as a possible solution:

This error generally means that the DCPFLICS Server and Service are not
    started.

To correct this error, make sure you have Administrative
    privileges on your computer.

    Next, launch the DCPFLICS_tools.exe file
(from within your C:\Program Files\DCPFLICS folder), then from the
Services dropdown menu, choose Install , then Start . This should
install and start the DCPFLICS Service.

    Hope it helps.

as i stated in my original query, dcpflics is already installed and running. that was the first solution i tried, to no avail. for some reason the plug-ins are not able to communicate with the dcpflics program.
