DD-Wrt on a Cisco e3000

    Are there step-by-step instructions somewhere for putting DD-WRT on
    a Cisco e3000 router? The ones I found say to "flash" the router
    and then proceed to say it might turn the router into a paperweight.
    I need to start measuring internet use at the router level.

    That is a standard disclaimer, any time you flash a device (any device) you have the chance of bricking it.
    They just want you to know the decision is yours and there is a risk and they are not the ones to blame.
    If they do "support" you device make sure the model and verision numbers match what they "support".
