Ddhelp / general protection fault

    When using Internet Explorer I frequently get the following error message "general protection fault in module GDI.exe at 0001:00001 bef" I then get a message saying Ddhelp has preformed an illegal operation. It started happening after the last time I downloaded windows updates from the microsoft site. i don't know if there is a connection. I am running Windows 98. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I used to get that error with my 98.
    Have you tried running a Anti-Virus program?
