    Good Morning~
My son has a Dell Dimension 8200 computer. At the moment he is running 256 of ram w/ a Pen 4 in it.
He has asked me if we can add more ram.
    My question is:
Do I have to add ram made by Dell or will any DDR Ram do?
If any ram will do can you give me some ideas of where on the net to get it.....

    Thanks~

Ram from any company will do. Usually it's nice to match the companies, but it doesn't really matter. 99% of the time they can be diffrent without any issues.

You can buy it at any computer store, or any big retail store which sells computers, I'm sure there are at least a few in your area. If you want to order online, people in the USA tend to like newegg.com, for canada people like, ncix.com, and for the UK I'm not really sure what's popular. :)

On that note, I have an HP computer here that can use PC3200 DDR, and it won't even post with Corsair ValueSelect ram.

So, sometimes there is an issue.

www.corsair.com has a memory configurator on their site, and they guarantee compatibility.
