I have a Dell Inspiron XPS Gen2 with a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) 17" widescreen screen on it. It has a rather large cluster of dead pixels near the top of the screen. I remember reading somewhere that you can massage the screen around the pixels to try and bleed some of the surrounding pixels' juice into them, but I'd like to know if any of you know what's best to do.

    Thanks,

There are ways to unstick "stuck" pixels-- massage, utilities-- but not dead ones. If it's still in warranty, call Dell, they should replace.

How do I tell if it's stuck or dead?

Stuck pixels are on, but not the right colors. Dead are just black.

Yeah, this seems like a big gaping hole in the screen. Thanks for the info.
