I have a SanDisk that was working one min and then it not working the next....
It's a 4gb cruzer that does not even light up when I plug it into any
    USB port.
Is there any thing I can do to retrieve the data?

    Thanks

If it doesn't light up, and/or Device Manager now describes it as a different name to previously, it is probably dead :(

Try connecting it to a different PC or Mac, you may get lucky.

Definitely try it elsewhere, on the off chance that it is your USB ports acting weird rather than a dead Cruzer.
