Hiya! I'm trying(rather unsuscessfully) to install the netinst Debian Linux thingie, and at some point it asks me for a driver. I pick the intel 1000gbit one, that that's what I have, and it asks for some parameters, it recomments an IRQ and a IOport. from what I can tell, Windows uses the IRQ 17 and port 0xCCE0 to 0xCCFF, so I put in irq=0 io(or whatever the example used)=CCE0, and it gave me a scary red screen saying the initialization failed - have I made some sort of an error?

I kinda skipped that step just to see what else I'd need and got to the partitioning step. It gave me only one disk, which is strange because I have two, and I think the one it gave me was my unused HDD(IDE), does that mean I will be unable to see the SATA disk?

    Thanks for any help
