    Hi There,
I think I may have been under a rock for a few years as I have just stumbled across this site well actually I picked up the thread of how to debug the .dmp files by Adrynalyne what an excellent guide! Anyway I did excactly as described and had a result . Then I found another program recomended on here called BlueScreenView again a good programme but different result. I have enclosed just the results. I was hoping someone could help me out as I am not THAT techincal even though I have got this far. I have had a BSOD for a week now only 1 a day but the same one with the same codes, after using the debugging tool it said something about intel and the blues screen said a driver so before I go out and buy a new processor I was hoping that someone can say no don't do that its a new driver you need. In fact ANY help would be appreciated. The system I have is a sony Vaio all in one VGC-VA1 with 1024 mb Ram, 250gb Wd harddrive with a ATI Radeon X700 video card, and an intel Pentium D 2.8 ghz , oh and the chipset on the motherborad is ati as well. If anyone can help me sort this out as I have been trying for over a week now.
    Many Thanks
    Swisslad

    Hi Smokin Gun,
went to the microsoft link and it more or less pointed me to where I am at .The machine is definitely not overclocked I have cleaned all fans and checked they all work so it doesn't overheat. I did already test the memory with memtest
but I am running another test with memtest86+. The only other theory and to do is test the harddrive as a program called sensor pro and Everest show it running at 64 ,65, upto 69 degrees C which I am not happy about so that could be the deciding factor. Like I say It happens probably once every 24 hours but is still annoying I don't want to give it back saying I can't find anything wrong and it goes into a bsod just after she switches it on lol. I will keep searching and testing but like all these things its hard to pinpoint the problem unlike when something just fails and won't start at least you have a clue. Thanks for your input though
    Regards
    :)

    Hi

Could you attach an actual minidump file (not the text) but the .dmp file, may need to zip it up to attach as the file type likely wont be recognised by the forum software as a valid attachement. Asking for this as your minidump is not complete, dont think symbols is installed or installed fully.

Also any yellow ! marks in Device Manager by any items?
If you boot info Safe Mode, and leave the PC on test does it crash?
Disable all startups with msconfig and reboot, and see if PC is ok, this will give you an idea if its software related, maybe a starting app thats conflicting (check that multiple antivirus, firewall or antimalware apps are not installed), then if ok enable and reboot on each of the remaining startups to see if you can find an app causing this.

    Hi Halo,
I have the last minidump I got, the one I sent before was just me highlighting what I thought was the important part lol. I THINK the symbols are installed ok as it did run but hey I'm on a learning curve here. Ok , also I have run memtest 86+ and done 12 passes with no errors whatsoever so I think I can now rule the memory out. Going to do the hard drive test next , I have just booted up in safe mode like you said and will leave it running now. There are no yellow icons
when you say disable all startup to see if it is an app, like I said before it only happens after a while it could be 4, 6, even 12 hours after being swithed on so would the app be already loaded anyway or is it that the "system" keeps checking the apps and suddenly one fails so to speak. What do you think about the Intel remarks, or is that just the architecture of the processsor desgined to do that? I will get back to you when It has done a days idling in safe mode or untill I get my next bsod, in the meantime thankyou for your response and I hope the minidump is of help to you.
    Regards
