debut video capture requires internet connection

Dear Geeks,

I have downloaded Debut Video Capture, from MG, recently, for use by a third party for personal reasons. Unfortunately Debut Video Capture will not install without a direct internet connection. The strangest thing is, although the program on install claims to lack a file that must be downloaded, nothing is changed in the program file entry in xplorer, nothing is actually downloaded. I like the program as installed on a laptop that connects to the internet, but the link is either tweaking or the program requires internet to install.

It would be very nice if this circumstance were included in the products blurb on Majorgeeks, and it isn't mentioned anywhere amid the promos on other sites. If it is only a snafu of some sort, please light a squib under them if you can, to fix it. It's a great program, light and easy, especially for free. But it's inaccessible to isolated and slow units, which I imagine puts it out of range for a lot of folks who could benefit from it, for instance, with livestock monitoring, especially on small farms.
