My computer came installed with XP when I bought it (HP). I, however, planned to upgrade. I bought Vista yesterday and am wondering what happens if I don't like it? How would I "downgrade" back to XP? I don't have a XP OS Disc...

If you haven't done so yet, run the Vista upgrade advisor to get an idea of how it will run on your rig. To dual boot, Make a new partition on your hard drive, minimum 20GB and install there. If all goes well, drivers could be a pain, you will get the Vista bootloader and you will able to boot to either OS. Removing it is very simple too. There are tons of guides out there on how to do it with much clearer and iindepth instructions.

Recovery CD/partition, if thats what your machine came with.

Vista is a great OS, but I can understand your aprehension. You could always use something like Acronis and backup the entire drive to an image...in the event you dont like it, you re-image the drive.
