Decommision old server hard drive

There are some advantages of working in a civil engineering company in the IT department. I had to decommision a coupe of old server hard drives today. So i'm thinking... what's the best way to do it.
Ladies and Gentlemen: the answer is... take a massive chainsaw to them. I even have a video of the cutting process, but i can't show them, as the cutter has the name of my company on it... NDA and all that

 

Couple more. This is serious fun, decomissioning old servers and workstations.

 

Well you could have opened the case with a screwdriver

'Apprently' using a highpowered nail gun can be quite effectve too.

Other methods I have seen mentioned are encasing the drive in concrete and dripping it in the ocean or actually dismantling the drive and melting the shiny plates inside (which needs a fairly hefty amount of heat)

Not sure how feasable they are, On fairly small (working) drive I prefer to use eraser with a 35 times overwrite. CLocks up a few hours of work lol
